A visceral audio and visual project commenting on the food waste crisis.
Created in collaboration with the Manchester band Jane Doe, the imagery, lyricism and instrumentation of Rot Away were orchestrated to depict the awfulness of the food waste plight. Macro footage and saturated visuals of waste taken from various restaurant refuse spots make the topic viscerally uncomfortable. The viewer is simultaneously repulsed and fascinated as they are faced with a bitter reality.
